How It Works

Research and Vetting

The Travel Junkees Care Travel Team conducts thorough research on potential opportunities for giving back in the countries we visit. This involves checking official documents, websites, and references to ensure that donations reach those truly in need. We have a robust network of contacts in various countries to help us identify the best donor opportunities.

Donor Participation

Anyone can make a difference with The Travel Junkees Cares. Our travelers can opt to add $10–$20 monthly to their installments to support destination projects, while general donors can contribute anytime. Every gift, big or small, helps uplift communities, and all donors receive a tax receipt for their generosity. Together, we create lasting change.

Virtual Presentations

Our Program Director leads virtual presentations to explain the nonprofit arm of each trip, detailing the specific project and its impact. This information is also available on our website and social media platforms.

Project Specificity

Each trip is associated with a specific service project. For example, during a Kenya Safari trip, travelers might visit the Kibera Slums, where they will distribute school supplies, toiletries, and other donations to families and teachers.
